Abstract

The purpose of the work is a theoretical study of the problem of psychological wellbeing and meaningful life orientations of future specialists in the socionomic profile. The study of this phenomenon makes it possible to achieve significant progress in solving the problem of choosing adequate strategies for students to maintain mental well-being, improve the quality of life, and achieve fuller self-realization. The research methodology is based on the methods of synthesis, comparative analysis and generalization of theoretical data presented in the psychological literature. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the theoretical analysis of the problem of psychological well-being and meaningful orientations of the individual in psychology, namely among student youth. Conclusions. Currently, the relationship between psychological well-being and various personality traits and its social characteristics is being actively studied; standardized and reliable instruments for measuring psychological well-being are being developed, the concept itself is being refined. This problem is also relevant during the student period. The well-being and health of student youth is a continuous process of ascent and realization of personal self-realization; troubles and diseases cause the impossibility of becoming a full-fledged person. As a result of the theoretical analysis, it was established that the phenomenon of psychological wellbeing of an individual is considered as the result of an individual experiencing harmony in his personal life, an individual’s knowledge of his own capabilities, successes or achievements in professional activity. The key external, social components of the psychological well-being of an individual are: positive relationships with others, autonomy and competence; the internal conditions of the process of personality formation are: self-acceptance, personal growth, goals in life.
